Senior Consultant – Energy Transition Advisory

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Energy Transition team within the Commercial Advisory & Transactions practice. Based in Sydney, you will provide commercial, financial and transaction advice on major energy infrastructure projects across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop commercial and financial advice to support planning, procurement and delivery of infrastructure initiatives.
• Prepare procurement documentation for complex, multi‑phase processes such as EOIs and RFPs.
• Manage interactive tender processes, including data‑room administration, RFI handling and evaluation coordination.
• Support business case development and analyse delivery options for infrastructure projects.
• Build sophisticated financial models to inform investment decisions and procurement strategies.
• Draft approvals documentation, briefing papers, reports and memoranda throughout procurement cycles.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholder inputs (engineering, legal, environmental, health & safety) into transaction and commercial documents.
• Develop commercial contract documentation, including frameworks, term sheets and schedule structures.

Required profile

• Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and experience in financial modelling.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Passion for solving complex problems and delivering value‑adding solutions.
