About the role
The Senior Component Buyer will manage the end‑to‑end supply of aircraft components, ensuring timely sourcing, procurement and delivery to keep Qantas aircraft flying safely.
Key responsibilities
- Execute inventory plans and manage the full supply chain for aircraft components and aviation materials.
- Expedite critical orders, support forecasting, and analyse inventory and supplier data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor supplier performance, develop strong supplier relationships and resolve supply issues, including urgent operational requests.
Required profile
- Experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, inventory management or related customer support services.
- Tertiary qualification in business, finance, logistics or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems
