ANZ Warehousing & Ground Freight Category Manager

About the role

Join the supply chain team that powers iconic brands such as Andrex®, Scott®, Viva® and WypAll®. You will lead the sourcing strategy for warehousing, distribution and ground freight across Australia and New Zealand, driving cost optimisation and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own sourcing strategy and execution for warehousing, distribution and ground transportation services across ANZ.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting and commercial agreements to meet cost, cash and supply continuity goals.
• Develop category cost models, market intelligence and should‑cost analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Manage supplier relationships through scorecards, business reviews and risk mitigation.
• Negotiate carrier and 3PL contracts, rates and service levels; run benchmarking and tender events.
• Partner with Logistics Operations to support network changes, service improvements and operational excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management, preferably in logistics, transportation, warehousing or distribution.
• Strong commercial negotiation, supplier and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical skills, including cost modelling and market analysis.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
