Senior Component Buyer

About the role

The Senior Component Buyer will manage the end‑to‑end supply of aircraft components, ensuring timely sourcing, procurement and delivery to keep Qantas aircraft flying safely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute inventory plans and manage the full supply chain for aircraft components and aviation materials.
• Expedite critical orders, support forecasting, and analyse inventory and supplier data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance, develop strong supplier relationships and resolve supply issues, including urgent operational requests.

Required profile

• Experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, inventory management or related customer support services.
• Tertiary qualification in business, finance, logistics or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience with ERP systems
