Senior CAD Drafter

About the role

Join AECOM's Brisbane highways team to deliver major transport infrastructure projects across Queensland and nationally. You will create high‑quality CAD drawings and models for roads, cycleways, footpaths, signage and safety barriers.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed CAD drawings and 3D models in line with RPDM, Austroads and client standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training on digital design tools to the design team.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and ensure design documentation meets project specifications and timelines.
• Support BIM and digital engineering workflows to improve design coordination.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering Associate Degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years experience in highways design for transport agencies or local government.
• Proven ability to deliver civil arrangements, geometric design, signage, PUP and safety barriers.
• Strong understanding of design standards, quality requirements and delivery timeframes.
