Senior BIM Technician - Structures

About the role

The WSP Building Structures group is looking for a Senior BIM Technician to support the Adelaide Structures team. The role manages the production of design documentation and Building Information Models (BIM) for structural projects, keeping them aligned with project deliverables, WSP standards and digital engineering workflows. It is key to maintaining BIM delivery capability and involves coordination with the Manila drafting team.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage Revit models and lead Revit modelling of building structures to WSP's standards
• Produce coordinated documentation such as plans, sections, elevations, reinforcement detailing, precast documentation and general arrangements
• Facilitate designers' use of BIM models for data input and information extraction, and resolve coordination issues
• Liaise with Project Leaders, engineers and external parties on BIM-related tasks, risks and multi-discipline model integration
• Coordinate BIM and documentation resources internally and with the Manila team, and engage with clients and regional BIM leaders
• Contribute to CAD/BIM tools, training and knowledge sharing

Required profile

• Diploma in Drafting, Engineering Design or equivalent, or the ability to obtain Australian Defence security clearance (only eligible Australian citizens)
• Knowledge of modelling reinforced concrete, precast concrete and structural steel, with high proficiency in Revit
• Ability to work within multiple teams, including offshore support teams, and to meet production schedules
