Senior Banking Consultant – Thuringowa Central

About the role

This permanent position is based at the Willows Shopping Centre branch in Thuringowa Central, Queensland. The Senior Banking Consultant will serve customers directly, guiding them through the home‑buyer journey and property‑purchase process. The role also supports junior staff on more complex customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an initiator and role model for ANZ products.
• Support the Branch Manager in delivering the retail strategy and day‑to‑day branch operations.
• Meet customer needs by providing home loans, insurance, investment products and transactional services.
• Take responsibility for ‘know your customer’ from a risk perspective.
• Deliver a positive, relationship‑based customer experience that addresses complete financial needs.

Required profile

• Prior experience building strong relationships in a customer‑focused role.
• Significant experience in financial services, preferably retail banking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and coaching capabilities.
• Proven ability to use and promote technology effectively.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
