Senior Auditor – Lead Audit Engagements

About the role

Hall Chadwick is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to lead audit engagements for a diverse client base across Australia and internationally. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of the audit team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct multiple audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and identification of key risk areas and accounting matters.
• Prepare complete and accurate audit work papers and financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Develop appropriate audit approaches based on a solid understanding of clients’ businesses.
• Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations, meet deadlines, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Review and coach audit team members, fostering competence and productivity.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes to Australian accounting and auditing standards.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in external public practice audit.
• Degree in accounting, business or commerce; CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Auditing Standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, travel flexibly across industries and locations, and work collaboratively in a team.
