Senior Associate – Corporate & Commercial Advisory

About the role

McInnes Wilson Lawyers is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate and Commercial Advisory team in Brisbane. You will own and drive a variety of corporate and commercial matters, working closely with senior principals and a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake complex M&A transactions and provide structuring advice.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements such as shareholder, sale and purchase, service, and IP licensing agreements.
• Prepare technical advice across multiple practice areas.
• Engage with clients, develop business, and manage client relationships.
• Mentor junior lawyers and assist with team management.
• Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑admission experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Commercial mindset with ability to deliver practical, commercially sound advice.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and work collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Commerce or accounting degree is a plus.
