Senior Accounts Receivable Team Leader

About the role

This senior leadership position reports to the National Accounts Receivable Manager and is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day AR operations across multiple high‑volume portfolios within a national healthcare organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of eight AR professionals, conducting performance reviews and providing regular feedback.
• Oversee end‑to‑end accounts receivable processing across several portfolios, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support debt‑collection activities and drive improvements in cash‑flow outcomes.
• Manage escalations and act as the point of contact for complex issues.
• Identify and implement process, workflow, system and automation enhancements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Step into the National AR Manager role when required.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in Accounts Receivable, Revenue Cycle, Finance or a similar operational environment.
• Hands‑on leader who works closely with the team and fosters an inclusive, trust‑based culture.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop high‑performing teams.
• Experience driving process improvement, transformation and automation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including with senior leadership.
• Calm, practical and solutions‑focused approach in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel with strong analytical and reporting capability.
