RPA Developer

About the role

Dexterous, a bookkeeping and accounting firm founded in 2015 that uses cloud-based software, is looking for an RPA Developer. The purpose of the role is to drive business automation that replaces manual handling, streamlines processes and increases efficiency across the wider business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full software development process from conception to deployment, maintain and upgrade software after deployment, and oversee analysis, writing, building and deployment.
• Oversee automated testing, fix bugs and modify previously developed programs.
• Develop and manage databases and applications, write effective APIs, and write technical documentation.
• Analyse current processes and metrics to propose improvements that drive efficiency without weakening controls, and develop process-improvement procedures.
• Identify optimisation opportunities and recommend process, product or technical changes that improve user experience and client outcomes.
• Meet client needs and expectations professionally, and report process breakdowns to management.
• Prioritise work according to business priorities, keep accurate daily timesheets and attend on time.

Required profile

• Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar course.
• Experience as a developer with robotic process automation tools, front-end technology and DBMS technology.
• Experience with UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate and DBMS technology.
• Ability to weigh alternatives, solve client issues, work in a rapidly changing environment and build stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Programming capabilities, algorithmic and structured thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
• Designing and building workflows, process mining proficiency, and cloud technology knowledge.
• DBMS familiarity including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL.
• Front-end technologies including JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, React, Angular, jQuery and LESS.
• RPA tools: UiPath, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, Power Automate, Google Apps Script, CRM software (Salesforce, Zoho, Oracle NetSuite).
