Registered Nurse

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate clinical care to children, young people and families at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the RN will apply reflective and analytical practice to deliver person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct comprehensive care to patients (Domain 1).
• Support healthcare systems and processes (Domain 2).
• Participate in education and mentorship activities (Domain 3).
• Engage in research initiatives to improve practice (Domain 4).
• Provide professional leadership within the nursing team (Domain 5).

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification with eligibility to practice in Queensland.
• Compliance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015, Nurse Grade 5.
• Commitment to the Children’s Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and CHQ values.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
