Project Manager

About the role

Blue Water Shipping is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major client project in Melbourne. Reporting to the State Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring all commercial, operational, contractual and safety requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project mobilisation, implementation and operational readiness activities.
• Develop and maintain execution plans, schedules, milestones and delivery strategies.
• Manage customer relationships as the primary point of contact for delivery matters.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across all activities.
• Oversee governance, reporting, risk and change management processes.
• Manage financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, invoicing and budget monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, HSE requirements and customer standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of international logistics experience, including oversized/out‑of‑gauge cargo management.
• Proven track record in setting up and managing project sites.
• Diploma or first degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong negotiation skills and full understanding of Blue Water Shipping values.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal history clearance.
