Project Engineer – Wind Farm (Contract)

About the role

Join Unyte as a Project Engineer (or Senior/ Site Engineer) on a high‑profile wind farm project in regional South Australia. This 6‑month contract offers the chance to shape project outcomes, drive performance, and support commercial success while championing safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and update project programmes, forecasts and weekly reports.
• Coordinate procurement, plant, materials and site resources to ensure readiness.
• Track productivity, cost performance and critical activities to support strong commercial outcomes.
• Prepare progress claims, variations, cost‑to‑complete calculations and ensure contract compliance.
• Build and manage client relationships, attend site meetings and deliver clear reporting.
• Drive safety culture through audits, risk management and high‑risk activity oversight.
• Oversee quality assurance, including ITPs, NCRs, dilapidation reports and method statements.
• Collaborate closely with site teams, supervisors and subcontractors for smooth delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in civil construction and understanding of construction methodologies, specifications and quality systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage programmes, forecasting, procurement and site coordination.
• Strong commercial acumen with confidence in cost tracking and reporting.
• Leadership capability to mentor and influence teams, especially at senior level.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work on‑site for extended periods.
