Procurement Manager – CITIC

About the role

CITEC is looking for an experienced, outcome‑focused manager to lead its Procurement and Contracts team. You will head a high‑performing group responsible for the full procurement lifecycle, driving collaborative and service‑oriented practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide procurement services aligned with whole‑of‑government frameworks, policies and best practices.
• Lead software licence acquisition, assignment, administration, receipting and true‑up processes.
• Promote cultural change toward contemporary procurement methods and innovative delivery.
• Work with Executive Directors to shape and execute CITEC’s procurement agenda.
• Maintain continuous‑improvement mindset, monitoring market conditions and vendor opportunities.
• Engage, consult and negotiate with industry stakeholders to secure advantageous outcomes.
• Monitor and report on procurement performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, contract management, governance, monitoring and reporting.
• Strong organisational skills and business acumen.
• Track record of managing complex teams in dynamic environments.
• Experience reviewing procurement performance and driving continuous improvement.
• Flexibility, responsiveness to change and personal drive to achieve key outcomes.
