About the role

The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited invites applications for the Principalship at Luurnpa Catholic School, a co‑educational K‑10 school in the remote Wirrimanu (Balgo) First Nations community. The role commences 1 January 2027 and requires a visible, active presence within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the school in delivering Catholic education grounded in Gospel values, Lasallian tradition and Two‑Way Learning.
• Strengthen literacy and numeracy outcomes through evidence‑informed teaching practices and whole‑school improvement strategies.
• Build authentic relationships with students, families, Elders, parish and community organisations.
• Manage school resources, facilities, finances and staffing to ensure long‑term sustainability.

Required profile

• Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.
• Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.
• Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia and Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrated ability to create safe, inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments.

• Leadership and strategic management skills.
• Ability to foster faith formation, service and strong parish partnerships.
