About the role
The Principal House Officer in Ear, Nose and Throat will deliver high‑quality clinical care across the patient journey, from admission to discharge. You will work closely with senior medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment in a busy surgical service.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and manage ENT patients throughout their hospital stay, coordinating investigations, admissions and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with Staff Specialists, Registrars, junior doctors and inpatient teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Participate in out‑of‑hours, night and weekend rosters and contribute to clinical meetings.
- Supervise junior medical staff, teach undergraduate medical students and present cases at teaching meetings.
Required profile
- MBBS or equivalent with current AHPRA registration and eligibility for Medical Board of Australia registration.
- At least 2 years of Australian healthcare experience (preferred) and a genuine interest in Otolaryngology.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Required skills
- Clinical assessment and management of ENT conditions.
- Accurate medical record keeping and documentation.

- Salary range $137,861 – $151,417 per year (L4‑L7) plus 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
