Staff Specialist – Otolaryngology ENT Surgery

About the role

The Staff Specialist Otolaryngologist will lead and develop specialist ENT services across Central Queensland, providing high‑quality care in inpatient, outpatient and theatre settings while supporting regional outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Lead specialist ENT care across inpatient, outpatient and operating theatre services.
• Provide evidence‑based assessment, diagnosis and treatment for ENT patients.
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call roster and regional outreach/telehealth clinics.
• Contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit and research.
• Supervise, teach and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate clinicians.

Required profile

• Qualified specialist Otolaryngologist with MBBS or equivalent.
• FRACS (Otolaryngology) or evidence of commencement of RACS comparability assessment.
• Broad clinical experience across Otolaryngology and commitment to evidence‑based practice.
• Excellent communication, documentation and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Interest in teaching, service development, clinical governance and research.
