Principal Broker – Corporate & Commercial

About the role

Marsh Risk is looking for an experienced Principal Broker to join its Corporate & Commercial team in Cairns. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of risks, large new‑business tenders, and complex insurance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and manage a corporate/commercial portfolio of revenue‑generating accounts while delivering high‑quality client service.
• Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities, including new‑logo and organic expansion.
• On‑board new clients, present value propositions, and maintain senior‑level insurer relationships.
• Lead renewal and broking strategies, ensuring effective account retention and defense.
• Participate actively in claim‑related matters and track emerging opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial broking experience managing corporate portfolios.
• Proven track record of generating new business and strong market presence in General Insurance.
• Extensive knowledge of risks and insurance products across key industry sectors.
