Account Executive – Insurance Broker

About the role

Marsh is seeking an Account Executive to join its Corporate & Commercial team in Cairns. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and focuses on growing a portfolio of insurance clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand personal relationships and a book of business to meet team sales targets.
• Research and analyse client accounts to understand business needs and risk exposure.
• Develop insurance solutions using risk expertise and market knowledge.
• Execute renewal and placement strategies in collaboration with Placement, Advisory Leader, and Client Executive.
• Assist in presentations to prospective clients and identify expansion opportunities.
• Attend industry events and conferences to build a professional network.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in an insurance environment.
• Tier 1 or ANZIIF qualification is highly regarded.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of general business functions.
• Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines consistently.
