PR & Social Media Lead

About the role

We are seeking a PR & Social Media Lead to join the MECCA‑Maginations Community Team and drive the growth of the kit: brand across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. Reporting to the Head of Community, you will shape the brand’s presence in PR, social, creator and cultural spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Lead PR activities across AU and NZ, building media relationships and creating culturally relevant moments.
• Own kit:’s social presence on Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, managing content calendars and native content creation.
• Develop and manage creator, influencer and talent partnerships, collaborating with agencies for international activity.
• Identify partnership and creative opportunities to amplify brand awareness.
• Report on PR, social and creator performance, turning insights into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of experience in PR and social media, preferably in beauty, fashion, wellness, luxury or lifestyle.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, culturally connected and comfortable building playbooks.
• Strong writing, pitching and communication skills.
• Passion for brand building, beauty and culture with curiosity for new platforms and technologies.

Required skills

• Expertise with Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest.
• Experience managing creator and influencer relationships.
• Media relations and PR campaign execution.
