Plant Operator – Earthmoving Equipment

About the role

Join Cleanaway at the Deer Park Landfill as a Plant Operator, working on a permanent full‑time basis. You will operate heavy earth‑moving machinery to support essential waste handling and environmental protection activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate dozers, compactors, excavators and moxy trucks on site.
• Perform tip‑face operations, including waste placement and compaction.
• Carry out daily cover operations, mixing and applying cover materials.
• Maintain basic site upkeep and assist with light manual handling tasks.

Required profile

• Valid plant operator ticket or equivalent competency (VOC, RII, etc.) covering at least two of the listed machines.
• Proven experience operating dozers, compactors, excavators and moxy trucks.
• Understanding of safety and environmental compliance in landfill or earthworks settings.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow operational plans.
