Pharmacy Dispensing Consultant (Casual)

About the role

PurposeBD is seeking a casual Pharmacy Dispensing Consultant to support community pharmacies across Brisbane and Queensland as they adopt BD Rowa automation systems. This flexible position offers 20‑30 hours per month, ideal for professionals who want hands‑on, meaningful work without a full‑time commitment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured and informal training sessions to pharmacy staff on BD Rowa systems.
• Teach correct workflow, safe operation, and best‑practice usage of automation equipment.
• Demonstrate system features, functionality, and benefits to pharmacists and technicians.
• Provide hands‑on support during training and transition periods, including basic troubleshooting.
• Tailor training to varying experience levels and learning styles.
• Assist in creating training materials, guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Capture feedback and relay insights to BD project management and training teams.
• Coordinate visit schedules with the Project Management team and offer pre‑visit phone support.

Required profile

• Background in pharmacy, nursing, dispensing, healthcare education, or a similar customer‑facing healthcare role.
• Strong communication and people skills with confidence presenting to small groups or one‑on‑one.
• Patience and ability to explain technical concepts calmly and simply.
• Customer‑service mindset, reliable, organized, and able to follow through on commitments.

Required skills

• Experience with BD Rowa pharmacy automation systems (or willingness to learn).
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
