About the role
Lead advanced clinical pharmacy services at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, providing expert advice for complex patient care while overseeing the professional and operational delivery of pharmacy services aligned with the medical program.
Key responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical advice and support for complex patient care and clinical decision‑making.
- Lead, mentor and supervise pharmacists, interns, students and pharmacy support staff.
- Drive evidence‑based practice, professional governance and quality use of medicines.
- Support workforce planning, workload allocation, rostering and team development.
- Build strong multidisciplinary relationships and contribute to education and training.
- Lead innovative service‑improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research and knowledge translation.
- Provide strategic advice on pharmacy services and engage with local and state‑wide professional networks.
Required profile
- Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Advanced clinical expertise with the ability to independently manage complex clinical situations.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills in multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience supervising, mentoring and developing pharmacy staff and students.
- Ability to manage workloads, staffing and service priorities while maintaining safe, high‑quality outcomes.
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating clinical practices, procedures or service models.
- Commitment to innovation, evidence‑based practice, research and continuous improvement; postgraduate qualifications are valued.
