Graduate Occupational Therapist Program

About the role

Avina’s 12‑month Graduate Program is designed to support newly qualified Occupational Therapists as they transition into professional practice. You will receive structured onboarding, mentorship and a varied caseload across community, clinic, home and school settings, allowing you to develop a confident, evidence‑informed clinical identity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred Occupational Therapy services in community, clinic, home and school environments.
• Build and manage a real caseload while receiving supervised support.
• Develop capability across functional assessment, daily living participation, sensory and motor regulation, and assistive technology.
• Complete NDIS documentation, report writing and ensure clinical risk and safe practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy completed or nearing completion.
• AHPRA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Interest in disability and community‑based practice.
• Curiosity, initiative, willingness to learn and openness to feedback.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.
