Part-Time Storeperson (Kitchen Store)

About the role

A friendly, dynamic part-time storeperson is needed for the Food Services department of St Vincent's Fitzroy, a central production kitchen serving 11 sites and the hospital itself, which produces about 2,500 meals a day using a cook-chill method. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, and aims to set benchmark standards for kitchen cleanliness and sanitising.

Key responsibilities

• Receive goods and store them correctly, following stock rotation procedures
• Manage store issues across all SVH departments
• Help with kitchen hand duties: general cleaning of the kitchen and fridges, checking and storing incoming products, assisting with stock takes and counter service from the store window to the wards
• Clean and sanitise the delivery and store area
• Follow food safety standards for all food deliveries and storage

Required profile

• Current food handler certificate
• Experience in high-volume food service and in the storeman field
• Customer satisfaction driven
• Valid nationally coordinated criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one
