Part-Time In-Room Dining Attendant

About the role

JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is looking for an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Attendant to join its In Room Dining team on a part-time basis. The In-Room Dining Attendant provides guests with friendly, efficient and consistent service of food and beverage products in hotel rooms, and offers a chance to develop useful skills in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Set tables according to the type of event and service standards.
• Answer questions about menu selections and communicate with the kitchen about menu queries, wait times, recook orders and product availability.
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china and glass throughout the day.
• Complete closing duties such as restocking items and turning off lights.
• Present an accurate check to the guest and process payment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in food and beverage service, ideally in a hotel environment.
• Clear and professional language.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
• A positive, can-do attitude and enjoyment of a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build positive relationships with guests and team members.
