Night Shift Maintenance Technician

About the role

Amazon is hiring permanent Night Shift Maintenance Technicians for its new Horsley Park site in Sydney. You will keep the warehouse running safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material‑handling, automated packaging and distribution equipment during night hours.

Key responsibilities

• Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on all site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment.
• Respond to breakdowns and implement long‑term solutions to minimise downtime.
• Use specialised tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Follow and promote Health & Safety standards.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical trade licence, or Cert III in Engineering, or a recognised Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner).
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Proven fault‑finding experience on material‑handling or automation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience maintaining conveyors, motor controllers and inverters.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
