Network Administrator (Azure, Hybrid)

About the role

Fixus Technologies is looking for a practical, security-minded Network Administrator to support its Fixus team with internal IT and network requirements. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting the Azure network environment, helping staff with day-to-day IT needs, contributing to ISO 27001 security operations and delivering assigned IT and network projects. It is based in Bendigo, Victoria, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide internal IT and network support to Fixus staff and troubleshoot network, connectivity, device, access and general IT issues.
• Manage and maintain Azure network components such as virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, private endpoints, DNS and related services.
• Monitor Azure network performance, availability and configuration, and report on its security, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Take part in monthly Security Operations meetings and support ISO 27001 compliance activities, including evidence collection, security reviews and risk identification.
• Execute assigned IT, infrastructure and network projects, and assist with cloud security, access control and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Maintain IT, network and Azure documentation, and support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity where required.
• Work with external vendors, providers or consultants where needed.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing and network segmentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure networking and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical staff.
• Strong security awareness and willingness to work within ISO 27001-aligned processes.
• Good documentation habits, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work.
• Ability to work independently while escalating risks, issues and decisions appropriately.
