Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a stable food manufacturing business in Perth. The role offers a structured shift pattern, competitive salary of £45,000‑£48,500 per year, overtime, bonus and a supportive environment that encourages professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on a highly automated production line.
• Carry out planned maintenance to minimise downtime and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain and service conveyors, sorters, robotics and other automated machinery.
• Manage engineering stores and ensure accurate documentation for shift handovers.

Required profile

• Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong fault‑finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good understanding of PLC fault finding via HMI and inverter troubleshooting.
• Mechanical capability including bearings, pneumatics and general maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
