Shift Laboratory Technician – Mining Operations

About the role

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team responsible for analysing process control samples and delivering analytical results to support efficient production at the Murrin Murrin processing plant. This is a shift‑based laboratory position within a large integrated nickel and cobalt operation, offering a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality analytical data for process control.
• Deliver results within specified turnaround times.
• Perform routine instrument and general laboratory maintenance.
• Follow quantitative analysis procedures and work instructions accurately.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Analytical Chemistry (TAFE Certificate, diploma or university degree).
• Significant experience working in an analytical laboratory.
• ICP‑OES experience, preferably on Perkin Elmer instruments.
• XRF experience.
• Experience with classical wet‑chemistry analytical techniques.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
