Mechanical/Mechatronic Design Engineer (Startup)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical/Mechatronic Design Engineer to join a fast‑growing startup. You will be responsible for creating and validating complex product designs, working closely with cross‑functional teams to bring innovative solutions to market.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new product design specifications and mechanical requirements.
• Develop and execute design verification testing plans, both in‑house and with third‑party providers.
• Create manufacturable part and drawing packages using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Apply advanced analysis tools (FEA, thermal, structural, vibration) to validate design decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Interpret relevant standards to ensure compliance and quality.
• Collaborate with designers, electronics engineers, NPI and manufacturing teams to improve product quality, reliability and manufacturability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a design/engineering role within a product design environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, creativity and the capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or AutoCAD proficiency.
• 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing creation.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Thermal, structural and vibration analysis.
• Design for production processes: machining, sheet‑metal fabrication and injection moulding.
