Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Agilitus is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Newcastle team. You will support and expand our engineering and design capabilities across resources, energy and industrial projects, working alongside a collaborative group of engineers and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical design tasks from concept through to construction.
• Review work submitted by junior engineers to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Delegate tasks to junior engineers with clear instructions and provide guidance as needed.
• Contribute to dynamic analysis and non‑linear finite element analysis (FEA) on a variety of projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical).
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical and piping design standards and guidelines.
• Familiarity with material handling and wet processing design is preferred.
