Maintenance Officer

About the role

Avani Living Queen's Wharf Residences is looking for a dedicated, hands-on Maintenance Officer to join its Maintenance department on a full-time basis. The role keeps the presentation, functionality and safety of guest rooms, public areas and facilities running well. The position is paid $34.38 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general property repairs and maintenance as required.
• Help run the preventative maintenance program so the property performs optimally.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas regularly.
• Induct and supervise external contractors where needed.
• Keep accurate daily work records and service schedules.
• Support the Maintenance Manager in managing contractor works and maintenance projects.

Required profile

• Previous hands-on building or property maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Experience supporting or implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights within Australia or New Zealand only.

Shift details

• Monday to Friday roster, with some ad hoc weekend work possible.
• Afters-hours callouts may be required occasionally.
