Night Manager - Sofitel Brisbane Central

About the role

Sofitel Brisbane Central, a Sofitel hotel in the heart of Brisbane city, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Night Manager. The Night Manager ensures the hotel runs smoothly during overnight hours, maintains high standards of guest satisfaction and oversees the safety and security of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all aspects of hotel operations during night shifts
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by addressing inquiries, resolving issues and anticipating needs
• Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, keeping guest accounts and records accurate
• Maintain strict security protocols to protect guests and the property
• Coordinate with other departments on overnight maintenance and housekeeping needs
• Prepare and analyse nightly reports for management review
• Train and mentor night shift staff
• Handle emergencies calmly and follow established procedures
• Assist with food and beverage service as needed

Required profile

• Proven hotel management experience, preferably as a night manager or in a similar role
• Leadership skills and a strong customer-service orientation
• Problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Understanding of hotel safety and security procedures
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to varying schedules
• Detail-oriented, with strong organisation and multitasking abilities
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred)

• Microsoft Office suite
