Legal Counsel – Mining

About the role

LODLOD is seeking experienced legal professionals to join its network as Legal Counsel focused on the mining sector. The role offers hybrid and occasional remote work, supporting clients across Energy, Mining, Oil & Gas and Construction industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tenement and licensing matters for mining projects.
• Lead corporate transactions, including asset acquisitions and disposals.
• Draft, negotiate and review contracts and commercial agreements.
• Provide legal advice on procurement, joint ventures and commercial arrangements.
• Handle general commercial and corporate law issues, disputes and litigation.
• Partner with businesses and manage stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• 4‑12 years post‑qualification experience, preferably from top or mid‑tier law firms or in‑house teams.
• Demonstrated experience in tenement management, licensing and corporate transactions.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
• Client‑centric approach with the capacity to hit the ground running.
• Previous exposure to mining, construction, oil & gas sectors is advantageous.
