About the role
A national organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Brisbane‑based legal team and provide strategic advice across a broad portfolio of commercial, property and insurance matters.
Key responsibilities
- Commercial contracts and negotiations
- Property, leasing and licensing matters
- Procurement and probity advice
- Privacy, data protection and intellectual property matters
- Corporate governance, compliance and risk management
- Insurance‑related advice and support
- Preparation of complex legal advice, reports and briefing materials
- Management of external legal providers where required
Required profile
- Admitted legal practitioner with strong private practice or in‑house experience in commercial and/or property law
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance legal risk with practical commercial outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
- Experience in complex corporate, government or regulated environments is desirable
- Collaborative and solutions‑focused approach
