About the role

A national organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Brisbane‑based legal team and provide strategic advice across a broad portfolio of commercial, property and insurance matters.

Key responsibilities

Commercial contracts and negotiations
Property, leasing and licensing matters
Procurement and probity advice
Privacy, data protection and intellectual property matters
Corporate governance, compliance and risk management
Insurance‑related advice and support
Preparation of complex legal advice, reports and briefing materials
Management of external legal providers where required

Required profile

Admitted legal practitioner with strong private practice or in‑house experience in commercial and/or property law
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Ability to balance legal risk with practical commercial outcomes
Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
Experience in complex corporate, government or regulated environments is desirable
Collaborative and solutions‑focused approach
