Legal Counsel – Asia Pacific

About the role

Telix Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide regional legal support across the Asia‑Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and emerging markets. The role will work closely with commercial, clinical, regulatory, compliance and IP teams to ensure legal compliance and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, distribution, services, procurement, clinical and partnership agreements for the Asia‑Pacific region.
• Advise on product, market access, regulatory, tender, healthcare professional and compliance matters under the supervision of the Assistant General Counsel.
• Support implementation of global legal policies, templates and compliance programmes across the region.
• Coordinate with regional compliance, privacy and information security counsel on code compliance, anti‑bribery, data protection and related issues.
• Assist with Therapeutic Goods Administration interactions and other Asia‑Pacific regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent; admitted to practice in Australia or another Asia‑Pacific jurisdiction.
• 4‑7 years of legal practice, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device sectors.
• Prior in‑house experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with TGA, Medicines Australia, PMDA and other Asia‑Pacific regulatory environments.

Required skills

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to coordinate with privacy, compliance, IP and product counsel.
• Understanding of regional regulatory frameworks and compliance programmes.
