Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Medical Science

About the role

The School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences at CQUniversity is seeking an engaging academic to teach and lead within the Bachelor of Medical Science and related postgraduate programmes. The appointment level (Lecturer or Senior Lecturer) will reflect the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, multimodal teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate medical science courses.
• Lead curriculum innovation and develop learning materials that support positive student outcomes.
• Supervise higher degree research candidates and contribute to scholarly activities.
• Build industry partnerships and contribute to the School’s research agenda.

Required profile

• Completion of a doctoral qualification (PhD) in a relevant discipline.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one (e.g., Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education).
• Proven experience engaging with students through multimodal delivery strategies.
• Strong research track record with publications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of higher education issues and ability to collaborate across the university.
• Experience developing innovative curriculum and learning materials.
