Lead Superintendent – Concrete

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Superintendent – Concrete to oversee the concrete construction activities on the Eva Copper Mine Project in Cloncurry, Queensland. The role is FIFO, operating on a 2‑day on‑site, 1‑day off roster, and reports directly to the project management team. You will ensure that all concrete works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance of direct‑hire crews and subcontractors with drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Ensure all concrete activities meet ES&H plans, quality requirements, and local/national safety regulations.
• Coordinate performance, schedule, cost control, and change management for installation contractors.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders on earthworks and related interfaces.
• Maintain effective relationships with all parties while tracking progress against the project schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising concrete construction on large‑scale EPC projects, preferably in the mining sector.
• Ability to work FIFO in remote locations and manage a 2:1 roster.
• Strong understanding of ES&H compliance, quality assurance, and regulatory safety codes.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with contractors, engineers, and clients.
