Lead Business Analyst

About the role

As a Lead Business Analyst in Deposits & Payments, you will drive ANZ’s enterprise document‑management strategy, uplift capability and improve future‑state processes. You will also lead the Suncorp Migration programme, ensuring migrated documents are accessible from day one and supporting both customers and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Business Analysis pillar – lead hands‑on analysis, set objectives, coordinate stakeholders and ensure delivery of outcomes.
• Collaborate with business units, technology teams and vendors to elicit, define and document detailed business and technical requirements.
• Flex into related workstreams such as testing to support project delivery.
• Apply a range of elicitation techniques (process analysis, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, interface specifications) to produce clear requirements and impact assessments.
• Create detailed process flows and swim‑lane diagrams to visualise current and future states and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Provide PMO expertise for project planning, release coordination, reporting and leadership communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading business analysis activities in a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and guide implementation teams.
• Experience managing large‑scale document migration programmes and enterprise‑wide process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
