About the role

Join Slater and Gordon’s National Superannuation and Disability Insurance team in Melbourne, providing practical advice and advocacy for clients navigating complex superannuation and insurance claims.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical advice on life insurance and disputed claims.
• Manage a high‑velocity file load, prioritising work and delivering services efficiently.
• Maintain compassionate client service and progress matters with care.
• Develop and strengthen referral networks and client relationships.
• Stay up‑to‑date with case law, industry developments and legislative changes.
• Contribute to the development of junior lawyers and support staff.

Required profile

• Substantial experience in superannuation disability insurance claims or strong personal injury litigation background.
• Post‑admission experience with confidence handling a busy file load.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Empathetic client‑care approach and commercial awareness.
• Resilience handling sensitive issues and challenging clients.
