About the role
Monotype is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to own the renewal and upsell process for its enterprise customers in Australia. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping brands maximize the value of Monotype’s type and technology solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Consult with existing enterprise customers across assigned territories to understand needs and deliver Monotype’s value proposition.
- Learn and become a subject‑matter expert on Monotype’s product portfolio, including typefaces and related technologies.
- Negotiate and close strategic renewal deals, meeting personal sales quotas and goals.
- Create detailed account plans that identify renewal and upsell opportunities.
- Upsell and cross‑sell additional solutions to key renewal accounts.
- Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate client and prospect information in the CRM database.
- Communicate Monotype’s solutions to C‑level stakeholders using value‑based selling, business case development, ROI analysis and research data.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, finance, sales, and technical support to align renewal strategies.
Required profile
- Ambitious, organized sales professional with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and networking skills.
- Strong team orientation and ability to leverage internal and external resources.
- Experience in software, technology, publishing, media, advertising or design markets is preferred.
- Ability to manage a complex sales cycle from demo through negotiation and closing.
