Business Development Representative – Enterprise Sales

About the role

Emeritus is building a brand‑new corporate offering focused on mid‑market enterprises in Australia. As a Founding Business Development Representative you will help design and execute the outbound engine that fuels this growth, working closely with revenue leadership and leveraging AI‑assisted prospecting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create, test and iterate an outbound playbook that translates complex value propositions into concise, pain‑point‑driven messaging.
• Partner with AI‑driven messaging and workflow platforms to automate personalized account mapping, trigger‑based discovery and deep‑dive stakeholder research.
• Drive multi‑channel outreach (LinkedIn, email, virtual touchpoints) to engage hard‑to‑reach CHROs and L&D leaders and move them into qualified prospects.
• Conduct rigorous initial assessments to map organizational pain points, verify budget alignment and hand over warmed leads to Account Executives.
• Identify and implement process innovations that improve outbound efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of scaling initiatives from 0‑to‑1.
• Experience targeting mid‑market enterprises (revenues $1B–$8B, 500–5,000 employees) in the corporate learning space.
• Comfort working side‑by‑side with senior revenue leaders in a lean, fast‑moving team.
• Strong ability to break through corporate noise and build warm, high‑quality relationships.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with multi‑channel outbound outreach (LinkedIn, email).
