About the role

Join the Australia Finance team at Ipsos as a Junior Finance Business Partner. This entry‑level position is designed for recent accounting graduates or early‑career finance professionals who want hands‑on experience in project accounting, reporting, budgeting and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date project financials, including budgets, actuals, profitability and accruals.
• Provide day‑to‑day project accounting support, ensuring timely billing, revenue recognition and cost capture.
• Prepare and distribute monthly management reports with clear variance analysis and actionable commentary.
• Assist with month‑end close activities such as journal entries, reconciliations and accruals.
• Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts through data collection, validation and consolidation.
• Perform ad‑hoc reporting and analysis for management and head office, turning data into insights.
• Maintain organized working papers and ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce with an accounting major.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Customer‑service mindset when working with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Self‑motivated and collaborative team player.
