IT Support Field Technician

About the role

Computer Cures, a small but fast-growing Melbourne-based company serving home owners and small businesses, is looking for an IT Support Field Technician. The role covers a wide range of IT projects, support and maintenance work, so no two days are the same. Candidates must have at least 5 years of IT support experience and must live in Melbourne.

Required profile

• Australian permanent resident
• Over 5 years of experience in IT support
• Owns a reliable, well-maintained car and holds a full driver's licence with a good driving record
• Owns a smartphone and laptop
• Willing to undergo a background check
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues in plain English
• Friendly, outgoing and professional with customers in their homes or offices

Required skills

• Troubleshooting Windows 7, 8, 10 and macOS, and Microsoft Office 365
• Setting up PCs, iMacs, laptops, printers, modems and accessories
• Wired and wireless networking, including Ubiquiti UniFi access points, routers and switches
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS
• NAS system installation and troubleshooting
• Office 365 and Google G Suite setup and support, including email migration from POP, IMAP and Exchange servers
• 3CX phone system setup
• Onsite, remote and phone support
