Internal Medicine Vet Specialist – 3‑6 Month Locum

About the role

Greencross Pet Wellness Company is seeking a board‑certified or board‑ready Internal Medicine Vet Specialist for a 3‑6 month locum contract at its Animal Referral Hospital in Canberra. The position starts as soon as possible and may lead to a permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist internal medicine care for a diverse referral caseload, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including critical care, surgery, oncology, rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging.
• Utilise the hospital’s advanced technology – ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, 64‑slice CT and high‑field MRI – to diagnose and treat complex cases.

Required profile

• Veterinary degree registerable in Australia.
• Specialist qualifications (FANZCVS, DACVIM, DECVIM) or completion of residency training with plans to sit specialist exams soon.
• Availability to work in Canberra for 3‑6 months.
