Veterinary Specialist – Internal Medicine

About the role

The Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Canberra is seeking a Board‑certified Internal Medicine Specialist to join a high‑performing multidisciplinary team. This full‑time, primarily clinical position offers the chance to work with leading clinicians in a purpose‑built, technologically advanced hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert internal medicine consultations for a varied, complex referral caseload.
• Collaborate with specialists in surgery, critical care, oncology, rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the ongoing development of the internal medicine service.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Internal Medicine Specialist (FANZCVS, DACVIM or DECVIM) or residency‑trained veterinarian preparing for exams.
• Strong clinical judgement, collaborative approach and commitment to high‑quality patient care.

Required skills

• Experience with advanced imaging modalities such as CT and high‑field MRI.
• Proficiency in ultrasound, endoscopy and digital radiology.
