Injury Management Consultant

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Injury Management Consultant to join its Recovre team in Melbourne. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and involves working on‑site as the in‑house Injury Manager for a leading manufacturing client.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with clients and collaborate with all stakeholders to support safe, healthy, and productive return‑to‑work outcomes.
• Manage a portfolio of 45‑50 non‑billable cases, identifying hurdles to return to work and developing problem‑solving plans.
• Provide injury management and early intervention services, gathering documentation from workers, employers, treating doctors, and other professionals.
• Maintain high‑level customer service and strong relationships with site supervisors, the Employer Claims Team, and injured workers.

Required profile

• Exceptional case management or return‑to‑work experience, or professional qualifications such as Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Psychologist, Social Worker, Chiropractor, Osteopath, or Registered Nurse.
• Resilience, time‑efficiency and adaptability to balance a considerable workload while maintaining work‑life balance.

Required skills

• Experience in manual handling training, outsourced return‑to‑work leadership, career transition services, EAP and mediation.
• Ability to coach physical, social, mental & financial wellbeing and provide vocational rehabilitation services.
